I'm Not Making This Up...

One of my husband's shirt-tail relations is getting married in two weeks. On the response card that came with the invitation, it read:

"We will not be registering
Money will be appreciated to help us
Along are way on are homeymoon"

Klassy.

We are getting them his and hers doo-rags to wear on their homeymoon to South Central Los Angeles. As well as the latest edition of Hooked on Phonics.

I just hope those crazy kids don't get deevorxd.

So I'm just wondering...was it their fault or the printer's fault?

Yikes!

Yes! Cringe is exactly the word!

Claire,
Oh, yestheydit!

Michelle,
I thought that it might be a printshop problem too at first..Upon closer inspection, I realized the invites were done at home on a laser printer. No self-respecting printshop would allow "are" in place of "our".

Spelling and grammar aside, what really got me about this was the blatant demand for money. Listen, Happy Couple, if you can't afford your homeymoon, maybe you should consider either a different locale or possibly postponing it until you get the schwak to pay for it? Just a suggestion.

The first time I read the post I seriously thought that based on the way the type face looked I thought that you had typed "horneymoon". The m looks somewhat like an r and an n close together doesn't it? (Please no comments to the fact that a man thought he saw that.)

Also, on said "homemyoon" would Damon Wayans be invited to tag along... Sing with me Homey the Clown...

"I wrote a song about the bad invitation, Wanna hear it, Here it go!"

Is it wrong that I didn't so much notice the homeymoon issue, but I first noticed the fact that they're going on "are homeymoon..." HA!!!

Oh my God, I hope someone gives them the gift of that response card framed. Then I believe it should be hung in the bathroom.

SUPER Klassy.
